Peggy Post, Emily Post’s great-granddaughter-in-law, is a spokesperson and author for the Emily Post Institute. Post is the author of three new books, including the June release of Emily Post’s Wedding Planner for Moms, and the October release of both Emily’s Magic Words, an illustrated book for toddlers co-written with Cindy Post Senning, Ed.D; and Teen Manners: From Malls to Meals to Messaging and Beyond. In 2011, the Post family released the 18th edition of Emily Post's Etiquette: Manners For a New World (William Morrow), which tackles the latest issues of the twenty-first century - from texting and tweeting to iPhones and Facebook.

Post's books include the 17th edition of Emily Post’s Etiquette; Emily Post’s Wedding Etiquette, fifth edition; “Excuse Me, But I Was Next…” How to Handle the Top 100 Manners Dilemmas; Emily Post’s Wedding Planner, fourth edition; The Etiquette Advantage in Business, 2nd edition (co-written with Peter Post); The Gift of Good Manners: A Parent’s Guide to Raising Respectful, Kind, Considerate Children; and Emily’s Everyday Manners (both co-written with Cindy Post Senning Ed.D.).

Post has given speeches or seminars at a variety of places such as: Association of Bridal Consultants, The Congressional Club, American Library Association, Marshall Fields, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Hallmark Cards Inc., Smithsonian Associates, National Press Club, and Arizona Kidney Foundation.

Post writes monthly columns in Good Housekeeping and Parents magazines. She is the wedding etiquette expert for InStyle Weddings, WeddingChannel.com and 1-800-Flowers.com. Post conducts lectures and seminars for businesses and community groups across the country. Post's vibrant personality and media savvy have led companies to request her services for spokesperson campaigns. In this role she has worked with Florida Citrus, Merci chocolates, Tassimo Hot Beverage System, Mirassou Winery, Hit Entertainment, The National Honey Board, VistaPrint.com, Keebler, Yahoo, American Express, the Canandaigua Wine Company, and SBC Communications.

Post began her career as an international flight attendant for Pan American World Airways, and then taught seventh grade English and history in New York City before entering the business world. With 30 years of experience in management, consulting, and sales, Post has worked in commercial banking, relocation management, and the travel industry. Born in Washington, DC, she was raised in Maryland and New Orleans and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Louisiana State University. Post and her husband, Allen, live in south Florida, and she has two stepsons, Casey and Jeep.
