Joan Lunden has been a role model and a trusted voice to the American public for over 3 decades. As the longest running host ever on early morning TV, Lunden inspired and informed viewers on Good Morning America for nearly twenty years. She reported from 26 countries, covered 5 presidents and 5 Olympics, and provided insight to top issues for millions of Americans each day.
In June of 2014, Lunden was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. Since then, she has shared her cancer treatment journey with the world on her website JoanLunden.com and social media, becoming a prominent voice in the breast cancer community. As an eternal optimist, Lunden decided to take her diagnosis and change it into an opportunity to debunk cancer treatment and has shared her experiences in her book Had I Known: A Memoir of Survival (Harper).
With her passion and journalistic trust, Lunden has created a brand dedicated to helping families live easier, happier, and healthier lives. Lunden is the face of America’s largest senior referral service A Place for Mom, has her own Resurgence skincare line by the popular Murad Skincare, and founded and runs a women’s wellness retreat called Camp Reveille where women come to relax, recharge, jump-start their fitness, and learn how to improve their health, all while having fun in a Maine summer camp setting.
Lunden has served as national spokesperson for various organizations such as The American Heart Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, The American Lung Association, The American Red Cross, The American Academy of Pediatrics, and The Colon Cancer Alliance. She speaks regularly around the country about health & wellness, parenting, success & balance in life, and more. Asides from the standard keynote, Lunden also has expertise level experience when it comes to a variety of speaking forums, from panel moderation to event hosting to on-stage interviewing. She has given commencement addresses, grand openings, and even done voiceovers and narrations.
