TRAVELS FROM
Connecticut
Dale V. Atkins, Ph.D. has been spreading her excellent, professional advice and help for more than 30 years in many outlets. In her most recent book, Sanity Savers, her down-to-earth approach to dealing with the “advances” that have given us a 24/7, always available, always busy lifestyle that is too fast to keep up with. She discusses her “Five-S plan”: savoring, self, support, surroundings and stimulation, a no-nonsense framework to slow life down, reassess your priorities, and simplify the rough complications that provide more stress than help.
Atkins is a licensed psychologist who has more than 25 years of experience as a relationship expert, focusing on families, couples, parenting, aging well, managing stress and maintaining balance in one's life. An author of several books, articles and journals for popular and professional audiences, Dr. Atkins is a much sought after lecturer and keynote speaker, and has appeared at the Canyon Ranch as well as at hospitals, corporations, universities, school systems, and cruise lines.
